ENHC Remembrance Day 2020! Remembrance day to us also means remembering those who went to the Spirit World. For our Loved ones, for our Friends, for our community members, we remember through Prayer and Smudge. We may even have a feast so that we eat with our loved ones and share the Unconditional Love that we have for them.... We have lost family and friends through the year and we will remember them in Prayer Hiy Hiy ENHC Staff

ENHC Remembrance Day!! When I, Beverly Cardinal, first joined the military my family fully supported me in my decision. They were really proud of me and very honored for having someone in uniform in the family. Which I think is was easy for my sister join after me. I was able to express to her what joining the military demanded. My first experience in the military started with the Bold Eagle Program in Wainwright Alberta. It’s a 6 week program which consists of 1 week Cultur...al component and 5 week Basic training. The Basic training composed of weapon instruction on the C-7 and weapon handling, navigation with a map and compass, lots of drill, First aid training, and survival skills. We also conquered our fear on the rappel tower, and in the gas hut, where we were tear gassed. I developed self-confidence, discipline and immense teamwork ethic. After I graduated from Bold Eagle program I continued my career in the Canadian Armed Forces in the Primary reserve. I joined the 8th Field Engineer Regiment in Edmonton. I did my Field engineer QL3 training in Gagetown, New Brunswick. I had more intense weapon training on the C-9 light machine gun, also the Carl Gustaf anti-tank rocket launcher. As well I could handle and deploy C-4 explosive charges. All my training has prepared me to fight for my country. For the many who have fought for our country and freedom. It is our responsibility to never forget the service and the sacrifices of the more than one and a half million Canadian soldiers. We pay our respects to all of the fallen, all of the wounded and all who served in, over the past 100 years. Today, as we should every day, we remember those who volunteered, sacrificed, served fought and die for our freedom. We Thank you. We will never forget. We will always remember you.
