Alberta Tattoo studios will be open soon! Information for artists on reopening protocols can be found at www.aasba.info ... there is a slide show going over all of the details with a short quiz afterwards. Tattoo and piercing studios in Alberta were just added to phase 2 which has a scheduled reopening date around June 19th. Cant wait to see some of those first tattoos roll out after reopening!

A message for our artists from our friends at Shift Psychological: Hello! We hope everyone is staying healthy during this uncertain time. The last few weeks have really taken a toll on our communities but we know we will come out of this together on the other side. We are very lucky to be able to continue providing our psychological services during this pandemic as we are considered an essential service and can provide therapy over video conference. We recognize that there a...re many artists whose work is being negatively impacted by this pandemic, which is so unfortunate because of the major role that arts and culture play in bringing our communities together. We are looking to purchase some art and were initially planning on sourcing it online via stock websites. A friend of one of our team members is a local artist and shared the impacts of the pandemic with her, so we figured we should take this opportunity to support artists by purchasing art from them instead of from large stock websites. Art and psychology are both mediums of expression. Our clients all think, feel and express in different ways and we would love to carry different forms of expression into our practices by purchasing some art from artists each with their own unique styles. Digital art would be preferred but we are open to everything! If youre interested in selling us some of your pieces please feel free to send an email to [email protected] with some of your work for us to take a look at. We know there is a lot of talent out there and we cant wait to see it! Thank you!

The health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and team are of paramount importance to Canwest, and in compliance with the recent directive from the Alberta Government, with further instruction from The Edmonton Expo Centre, The Edmonton Tattoo & Arts Festival scheduled to be held April 24-26 will be cancelled.
