Eastern District Planning Commission 24.11.2020

Municipality of the County of Antigonish, Notice of Public Hearing on Monday November 9, 2020 at 7:30PM, to be held at Council Chambers at 285 Beech Hill Road, Antigonish County. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person capacity at this meeting may be limited and those who wish to speak to the matter are asked to contact the Municipal Office to register in advance, at 902-863-1117. The Council of the Municipality of Antigonish is intending to consider and if deemed advisable do one or both of the following: a) enter a development agreement with the Antigonish affordable housing society. b) amend the Antigonish (Fringe) Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law to remove boarding homes as a permitted use within the R-1 Zone.

The Council of the Municipality of Inverness has, on June 04, 2020, amended the Inverness Land Use By-law to rezone lands identified by PID 50205632, 50329853, and 50319656 from their current Commercial Mixed (C-2) zone to Public Park (O-1) zone. More information, including copies of the staff report, providing detailed information on the proposals can be inspected online at www.edpc.ca or received by mail by calling 902-625-5361 and leaving a message requesting the Inverness Park staff report with your mailing address. An aggrieved person, adjacent municipality, or the Provincial Director of Planning may appeal this decision to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board within 14 days of the date of this notice (June 10, 2020).
