Though we have no true idea of what this season may or may not include, Edson Minor Soccer is planning for the 2021 season with optimistic hope. While we await word from Alberta Soccer (who awaits word from AHS), we are opening a modified registration process. Following the lead of our fellow communities, Edson Minor Soccer will be cancelling the 2020 season. At this point the earliest possible start dates would occur after our typical season is finished. EMSA will be issuing full refunds, in the upcoming weeks, to anyone who has already registered. Please be patient with us through this process. Thank you for understanding and stay safe!!!

GRAFFITI CONCERNS The Town of Edson is seeking the public's help following a rash of graffiti over the past week. Both the soccer building at the Parkland Scho...ol and Repsol Place were hit. This type of vandalism comes at a large cost to the taxpayers in both staff time and materials for repainting and cleanup. The Town of Edson is asking the public to please report any suspicious behavior / illegal activities to the RCMP.

Since our original post earlier this spring, the field house has been broken into two more times. Various items have been taken each time, however vandalism is the larger concern. Edson Minor Soccer and the Town of Edson have continued to try to re-secure the facility by replacing locks and reinforcing doors but to no avail. If you have any information in regards to these events, please contact us, the Town of Edson, or the RCMP. We would love to put a end to this so we can concentrate our time, effort, and funds to providing soccer for kids when this is all over.

Hi everyone, Refunds have been sent for processing. Refunds have been issued by age group so please expect payments to show up separately. Please allow extra some time for your banks to process the request thanks to the long weekend. ... Our registrar is watching the system and we will be in contact with you, using the email address you provided at registration, if we encounter an error. Thank you for your patience, we look forward to seeing you next year!

Refund Update: our batch refund system will be processing refunds on May 15th. We apologize for the delay, however this was the best option to get your full monies back to you without significant costs to the club. Thank you for your patience!

COVID-19 Update As of right now our season is still pending. We are currently awaiting word from Alberta Soccer Association and Canada Soccer Association as to whether there is potential to move forward this year. As a pre-caution, and to avoid further financial concerns with our registration system, we are pausing registration. If you have already registered your child, everything will remain the same until we hear from Canada Soccer or ASA. If you have not registered your c...hild but wish to do so, there will still be opportunity to do so once we know what is happening. In summary, we do not know what the future holds and we are pausing registration for now. If we do have a season, we will reopen registration at a later date, if we do not have a season, we will issue full refunds at that time. Thank you for your understanding!

For every negative there is an opportunity for an even greater positive. Edson Minor Soccer would like to send a HUGE shout out and thank you to Tyler & Carrie Nycz with Teck Logging. Tyler and Carrie, through sponsorship of Teck Logging, have offered to pay for building damage repair and to replace missing equipment. EMSA President, Steven Lubarsky will work with the Nycz’s to determine what is missing and what needs to be replaced. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You, Tyler and Carrie!!!
