Wow! Only 8 more days. Though it sure has felt like spring was already happening in some of the past few days here in my part of the country

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb What is this talking about? Well, a proverb which is talking about the weather in March. In like a lion would mean winter storm-type weather, out like a lamb would mean mild spring-like weather. Where did that proverb come from? One theory about it is that the proverb is based on astronomy and the positions of the constellations. At the beginning of the year, we have Leo the Lion (eastern horizon); by the end of March, it’s Aries the Ram ...(western horizon. Of course, sometimes the weather actually happens in the reverse, with it coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion. Either way, spring is coming soon.
