Tune in! Our good friends at the Ontario Science Centre are live!
Raise a glass to the incredible Sylvia Callaghan on her birthday (second angel from the right). Our world was made so much better by the appearance of this dedi...cated, caring, brilliant person in it. Take equal parts Director of Operations, air traffic controller, sales manager, logistics genius, reluctant-but-effective chief financial officer, props and costume supervisor, SWAT team commander, den mother, partner and friend... and you just MIGHT get close to how important Sylvia is to our lives - and to the tens of thousands of kids Education Arts Canada reaches every year with our programs. As the world fills with uncertainty, it's great to take a moment to acknowledge the things that ARE certain... and one is our gratitude and love for Sylvia! Happy Birthday Sylvia McClenny Callaghan! (Note: Archival photo. No actual social distancing or communal consumption standards were broken!) See more
EAC supporters... We REALLY need your help right now. So do Ontario's teachers and school kids. Please write an email to your MPP today. Do it right now. Urge them to please ask the government to help reach a fair deal with our amazing teachers IMMEDIATELY. Teachers deserve a fair contract. Kids deserve to go on field trips. Non-profit arts organizations like ours are collateral damage and will slowly die if nothing is done.
In celebration of the launch of our new musical, "Straight On Till Morning", we're very pleased to share this short video about depression. It was made especially for the show, but we're happy for you to share it with anyone who might benefit from it. The video was written by Ali Joy Richardson and created by Jamie Joong Watts for Education Arts Canada. This video and the entire "One Deep Breath" mental health series was made possible by a generous grant from the Ontario Tril...lium Foundation. To find out more about bringing a performance of this ground-breaking series to your local school, please visit: http://educationarts.ca/one-deep-breath/ #mentalhealth #artseducation #musicaltheatre #depression
