Kadu moved from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Wolfville, Nova Scotia to complete a BBA major in Marketing at Acadia University. During his last year of study, he joined the Atlantic Canada Study and Stay - Nova Scotia program, where he expanded his networks and used what he learned in the program as a platform to finding employment. Kadu says that keeping in touch with everyone from the program and people that I met at events helped me land my current job. Kadu currently works at t...he Bank of Montreal where he was recently promoted to Personal Banking Associate. He wants to grow within the BMO institution as fast as I can and learn from as many people as I can." His advice to other international students is do not be scare of talking, because when you open your mouth, it shows the world who you are. Work on your people skills, learn how to interact with people, learn how to read people and understand them." #studyandstay See more

#StudyandStay #newbrunswick See more

Rakesh Menapati knows the power of mentorship through the Atlantic Canada Study and Stay - Nova Scotia program. Rakesh says, this program introduced me to one of the most amazing guys, my mentor. With the help of my mentor, I was able to acquire a job in Nova Scotia. Rakesh believes that coming from India to Canada, "having support from my mentor is a blessing. My mentor is still here for me in every aspect of my career; when I had three job offers and was confused about w...hich one to take, he suggested which is the best for my career. I have a great relationship with my mentor. He is my biggest inspiration. He is my Canadian ‘Dad’. Rakesh works as a Quality Control Lab Technician at Jost Vineyards and believes in giving back. He has volunteered as a fire fighter, at food banks, and at Shannex. Rakesh continues to live in Truro, where he says, I love the people here - they are amazing and always helpful to each other. Rakesh thinks about becoming an entrepreneur in the future and helping farmers in India with his agricultural experience. His advice to international students is to always believe in yourself, meet new people, and network. Your connections will help you to achieve your goals. #studyandstay #novascotia
