On Day 2, Bryson took me ice climbing!! We went to Maligne Canyon where he had scouted out a great spot. What a fun experience, and great for the soul. The kids met up with us and we spent tome exploring the canyon, finding cool rock patterns, and marvelling at the frozen waterfalls. A winter storm blew in that evening while we slept which made for a slower, but beautiful drive home. Thank you to all those who helped make this such a memorable weekend! Here’s to 40 years.

Day 1 in Jasper consisted of shoe shopping (Molly’s feet grew 2 shoe sizes this winter!!), a visit to the Parks Canada Visitor Centre (we LOVE the Xplorer books), and lunch downtown. Waiting for us were long-time friends who travelled from Edmonton as a surprise!! We then hiked by Pyramid Lake, got cleaned up at our hostel, and treated ourselves to a dinner at @fairmontjpl . But the surprises weren’t done! At 10pm, I was booked for a star gazing experience at @jasperplanet...arium . Sadly, it was cloudy, but we were given lots of great info, were shown amazing photos taken from that spot, and I even got to touch rocks from the moon and Mars!
