Edwards Farms 06.05.2021

Thanksgiving has us feeling extra nostalgic and grateful for each of our lesson horses at all Edwards Farms locations. But particularly we want to iterate some ...of the gratitude to the memory of our very first lesson horse - Dexter, who was heartbreakingly laid to rest this weekend. We are thankful for many things, Dexter’s amazing personality. Dexter’s willing spirit. Dexter’s beauty. Dexter’s presence in our lives. Dexter’s sense of humour. Dexter’s people he added to our barn family. Dexter’s confidence he shared with his riders. And we are also thankful to have had him the last few years of his life, and seeing him off to a quick, and peaceful passing. May you think of the all the wonderful children you carried as you canter across the big acres of heaven, friend!

"Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character." -T.A Armstrong Such true words, we are so lucky to be surrounded by hard working riders that demonstrate these very attributes day in and day out!

And thats a wrap for summer camps 2020. What a great time we all had! Thank you so much to our campers, volunteers, coaches and helpers. But most importantly thank you to our wounderful horses for teaching us so many valuable lessons!

Another great day was had yesterday, visiting some baby horses, making horse treats, jumping sticks and learning our posting trot!
