With the growing concern of COVID19, our main concern is keeping your families safe. In response, we are introducing new measures to our stables to ensure our services meet and exceed the health and safety required in this unprecedented situation. We have now implemented the following to our daily routine within Edwards Performance Horses in coordination with OEF (Ontario Equestrian Federation) standards: Health and Safety: We have robust cleaning and sanitation procedures ...in place at our stables as instructors will be sanitizing all tack in between each lesson. In addition, hand sanitizer equipment has become available in our facility for recommended use by clients. Limiting Arena Observers and Guests: To implement social distancing practices, we are reducing the number of people within the stables. At the time of the lesson, only the instructor and client should be in the facility. If the rider is under the age of 18, the adult may accompany the rider in the arena. There will be no group lessons until further notice! Only private, one on one lessons will be run during this time. In addition, clients are expected to arrive on time to reduce the overlap of lessons and minimize co-mingling between other students. Monitoring the Health of Our Clients: Clients experiencing symptoms of illness must stay at home and self-isolate for 14 days as per guidelines from local, provincial/territorial and federal health authorities. If any client has recently travelled, they will also be expected to follow these guidelines. As a result, boarders and other clients are to be limited to one person on site at any one time, making sure all visitors adopt social distancing strategies, and co-mingling with staff and others on the farm is minimized. Looking for an enjoyable activity while your children are home for the next three weeks? Check out horseback riding lessons! Only $25 per hour for our children rate; $40 per hour for the adult rate. At Edwards Performance Horses, we offer riding lessons in english (hunter, jumper & dressage) as well as western pleasure & performance. Our lesson program is based on safety, a secure position, solid horsemanship & the enjoyment of horses and riding. Proper equitation is taught s...o that you may pursue any equine activity you wish to try, whether it's pleasure riding, local shows or all the way to the top! All lessons are taught by experienced coaches with the riders on well schooled horses. Riding lessons are available year round, and offered weekly as well as limited bi-weekly for those students involved in other sports or if traveling distance is an issue. Private one-on-one instruction is available for all clients in an enclosed arena or outdoor paddock.
