How are you going to make this next chapter special??? Admittedly, I’m running out of new ideas but I’m going to keep trying. This wine was gifted to me a while back and today, I opened it. Grand Cru Chablis is a wine I don’t get to drink often. In fact, up until a couple years ago, it was a wine I had only ever read (a lot) about. It’s made from the best vineyard sites in the region and unlike most Chablis, it spends some time in oak. It’s not opulent. It’s restrained and I really enjoy it. It is not something I could justify buying for myself. But thanks to a dear friend, I’ve opened it and I’m thinking of all the great times we have had and will have again in the near future. Fleurie is a sub region within Beaujolais, France. Their red wines are made with Gamay Noir. Tart red fruit flavours tend to be centre stage.
