With Edwin F J Canfield at the helm as the lead music composer, Sean Gareth Wagner on Lead Guitar, Jonathan Ng on Piano and Violin, Daniel Baxter on Bass and Organ and Mitchel Walford on Saxophone and Drums, the team is a true collaborative effort. The Priests of Melchizedek is mostly comprised ...of university students, from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, who are dedicated to producing songs and hopeful to tour and headline shows very soon after the pandemic subsides. Producing and creating music for the glory of God, the group already have their debut album out and are steadily figuring out the music and logistics and strategies to record a second album. Their stunning debut album titled Vaya Con Dios which is Portuguese for go with God is bound to become a successful playlist for the group. The Priests have a rich and unique style and their compositions brim with stunning soul-stirring messages for people to internalize. Their first single is aptly titled Reconciliation Song (Peace Will come Upon Us) and is based on Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter speaking at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission a few years ago in Vancouver to raise awareness for the plight of the indigenous people. Because of COVID19 myself and my band have not been able to play venues but I have been playing on the internet trying to make a living with Sessions live which is a YouTube site that has 4 hundred musicians playing not all at a time.
