What’s the ideal height for most art? Some like the 57 to center rule (we use this for touch panels) but I prefer 65 to 2/3rds the height. If it’s a 30 high piece the bottom would be at 45. This is the actual art height not counting the matting or frame and works for most mirrors also. Museums and some galleys will often use higher elevations. A benefit of using the 2/3rds rule is when you have multiple pieces beside each other that are different heights you don’t get an unnatural look using the 2/3rds rule like you do with a 1/2 rule. I feel over aligning things is one of the biggest mistakes people make when arranging things in the space. Often things look better staggered as opposed to aligned. The subjective approach needs to be seem to be appreciated but a lot of people tend to just go with trying to line things up rather than tuning into how their appearance actually makes them feel. #hilti #laser #art Hilti
