In 2018, a playground in Benalto was due for an upgrade. Thanks to the Emmanuel Foundation, the old playground was dismantled and sent to the community of Maya ...Village in Belize, to be reassembled and enjoyed by children who had never had access to playground equipment before. This playground was installed in January of 2020 and was the last playground the Emmanuel Foundation was able to complete before their projects were shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout the past year the Emmanuel Foundation has started a new style of shipping projects called "Micro Projects". When a 40ft container isn't part of someone's vision, we still want to be able to provide inventory towards whatever shipping venue they choose. This can range from renting space on someone else's container, to piggy-backing on business shipments with extra space. While these aren't regular full-size shipments, they have opened a whole new avenue for us to fu...lfill our mission. Recently we got one of our first reports back! Rose Smith did a micro-project in the fall to Belize, to support the Southern Emergency Services. They provide medical training, home care for high risk patients, as well as a fleet of ambulances. The micro-project arrived in Belize in February 2021. Medical supplies stocking the ambulances and medical staff, tables to make classrooms in a training center, and bales of clothing for the community highlighted the micro-project. Take a look at the supplies being unloaded and happy nurses equipped with Emmanuel Foundation scrubs and masks!

Today is Universal Children's Day! In 1954, the UN General assembly adopted both the declaration and convention of children's rights. The convention sets out a number of children’s rights such as the rights to be protected from violence and discrimination and the rights to life, health and education. Article 31: Parties recognize the right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and participate freely in cultural life and the arts. It's because of your continuous support that we are able to PLAY IT FORWARD! Cheers to all children everywhere!
