What a senseless tragedy

Paul and I were law partners for 23 years. He joined Dantzer, Wenger, Wagner in1975 and 2 years later I joined. Vince Dantzer was a former mayor of Edmonton and gave somewhat a panache to the firm. At some point the firm known as Dantzer, Wenger, Wagner, Nixon, Einfeld, Williamson and Watts, made the wise decision to change the name to Nixon Wenger. Paul was instrumental for me, and later many of the amazing young lawyers leaving Vancouver law firms or Vernon raised stude...nts of law, relocating to Vernon to join the firm. My partners and associates together built a legal legacy that was created and directed by the vision, intellect, guidance, kindness, and largesse of Paul Nixon. Paul was all about giving back to the people around him and the community he loved, Vernon. I had the great fortune of knowing Paul since grade 7. Later, we were not just partners in a law firm but family, along with his beautiful wife, Darlene, his boys, his sister and parents. I left the firm and moved to Kelowna in 2000, but will cherish the times we had together and will love him forever. See more
