RRSP season is here. Our most recent Edward Jones survey looks at how Canadians are thinking about the ways in which they invest - and, ultimately, if an RRSP is right for them. While RRSPs were traditionally where Canadians chose to invest for retirement, it's clear that alternative devices are on the rise. Does this sound like you? Everyone is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. If you're not already having these conversations about what’s right for you ...with your advisor, it’s never too late to start! DM me and I'd be happy to offer you a second opinion -- a fresh look -- with no commitment. You can read more about the study here:
If you’re nearing the age of 60, you may have started asking yourself when you should start collecting from the CPP. While you will be eligible to start receiving retirement income at age 65, it may be beneficial to hold off for a few years, to take advantage of larger monthly benefits. I’m here to help you determine what the best course of action will be for your situation. I can help figure out your next steps. [EDJ2021]

So tired of all governments telling all of us they can create jobs with our money. No they can not. Unless they count government jobs. Business creates jobs. Consumers create jobs by consuming. Governments serve only to help those two groups along or make it worse but they don’t do the work of creating jobs. I really hope folks stop voting on their ability to create jobs!

On a conference with General Raymond T. Odierno, U.S. Army (Ret.), Cheif of staff, U.S. Army (2011-2015) this morning. What an incredible opportunity to get valuable insight on key issues with China/US relations, current racial crises and the tough decisions on moral push back issues Mr. Trump has caused for the military. Including causing a lot of trouble with their allies. He called it out that his country is either too far to the right or the left and he just wants a president that will represent all Americans and do what’s best for the country. So happy there are quality people like him in the worlds largest military. Thank you J.P Morgan and Edward Jones for jointly bringing this to us!
