This week was my first days of live, in-person work with clients in over four months. Being in their space to conduct 1-1 Coaching. Putting aside safety measures for me and the staff; physical space, masks, hand sanitizer and many other protocols. It was some of the most fascinating 1-1 Coaching I've ever done. It was a vivid experience with listening, nudging and guiding as people talk themselves in and out of different mindsets.... It was like they were trying on these different perspectives; trying to find the one's that fit. After four months of changes and reaching for new norms, people are still working very hard in their heads to find a perspective that fits. I am honoured, and privileged to be a part of the process. It is pushing me to new places as a coach, expanding my empathy, testing my sympathy and critical thinking. It reminds me - vividly- how crucial it is to have: - Networks - Thinking Partners - Committed Teammates - Space and Allowance to change your mind - Time to do it all. My hope is you all have great people around who will help you process. Take the space and find the mirror to reflect. Examining your mindset and perspective is more crucial now than any time in our lives. #reflection #perspective #coaching #focus
