Hello Provincial Athletes, BC Golf would like to invite you to apply to attend one of three Canada Summer Games ID Camps taking place across the Province. They will be held in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and the Interior on Sunday, September 27th, 2020. A total of 12 athletes will be accepted into each camp. Selection will be done by a committee of three. ... These camps are the first step in getting accepted to the 2021 Canada Summer Games Team BC. Due to the unknown future of COVID 19 and its timelines we are unable to give you an exact plan on our selection process for the 2021 Team BC Canada Summer Games Team at this time. The 2021 Canada Summer Games will be hosted in Niagara, Ontario from August 15-20th for the sport of golf. The games was established in 1967 as part of Canada's Centennial Celebrations promoting unity through sport as it provides an opportunity for amateur athletes progressing to national and international level competitions. The Games is Canada's largest multi-sport competition for young athletes. Athletes from the 13 Provinces and Territories across the Nation compete for the Canada Games Flag and Centennial Cup. The Cranbrook Golf Club is proud to announce and ask you to join us in congratulating Jonace Johnson and Aaron Grist. These two outstanding young men were sel...ected to receive the Cranbrook Golf Club Junior Scholarship Award (each receiving $500). The club could not have asked for better ambassadors of our junior golf program. Over the past number years, they have developed into inspiring young role models. Not once have either one of these gentlemen turned down the request to help younger golfers out, both on and off the golf course. Their passion for the game is very contagious and having them around the golf club makes it a much better place for everyone who knows them. Both Jonace and Aaron have been hardworking and positive employees at the golf shop for the past five years and if we could keep them around for another five years the club would be a very lucky place. With that being said we wish Jonace and Aaron the best of luck in all their future endeavours as I am very confident they will be very successful in whatever path they choose.
