The Ekklesia Millennium Society has 4 main programs that we run on a daily basis. We have the One Ladle at a Time Food Program and the Meals on Heels food delivery service. We also have the On the Rock Refuge for housing the homeless and our shuttle service to help people get to where they need to go. Since being in our building for the past 4 years, we have grown in every one of these programs and we have all of our numbers meticulously recorded in our expansive database. ...In our One Ladle at a Time Food program where we provide 3 meals a day, 365 days a week, our first year, 2017, we served 17,500 servings of food. This year we served 45,000 servings of food. With our new food trailer coming, we project to be giving out 55,000 servings of food in 2021. Our Meals on Heels Food Delivery Service, which we started in 2019, started with 12,000 deliveries in that year and increased to 15,000 deliveries in 2020. We project to reach 17,000 deliveries in 2021. In our On the Rock Refuge where we shelter people and get them off the street, we’ve increased from 7,960 stays in 2017 to 15,000 stays in 2020. We project to reach 20,000 stays in 2021. Finally, our shuttle service has seen the most increase. In 2017, we provided 15,000 rides and in 2020, we increased to providing 91,282 rides to those in need. In 2021, we project to reach 125,000 rides by December 31. We would like to thank the anonymous donor who donated this 28 foot utility trailer along with a cash donation of $10,000. During this Covid-19 Pandemic, we have been blown away by the increased generosity of our community. For those of you who are concerned about the event the was posted for Saturday, November 21, 2020, the event was created before the new BC Bylaw was put in place on Friday. This event was cancelled due to the new bylaw and we are complying to all the regulations as stated.
