It's been a few weeks since virtual classes started, and we are entering our second week of this new format of lessons. There is no difference between the virtual and in-person classes, and so far, our students and parents have been very satisfied with the results! We wills stay focused and maintain the quality of work throughout the next few weeks!

Élan French- Important Notice- COVID-19 Outbreak Update 3- Woodbine Ave and Markham Road offices will be temporary closed- VIRTUAL CLASSROOM IS IN PLACE. Dear Parents, The dedicated school staff has worked hard over the past 3 weeks to keep the Élan French school as healthy and safe as possible. We know through health professionals and officials that gathering in groups can perpetuate the spread of the virus. As of today, we have received a great deal of information about... the importance of taking significant measures before the virus spreads further to minimize the spread of the virus. In consultation with local health officials, we have that decided that Élan French will temporary close its 2 locations until April 5th, 2020 in order to mitigate the fast spread of the Coronavirus in our broader community. All classes will be provided via video conferencing as per normal scheduled class times (an email invitation will be sent to you prior to a scheduled virtual class), but, unfortunately, the Saturday homework assistance program will be temporarily suspended. Please feel free to continue sending emails to [email protected] if your child has questions about their homework. We will take all necessary effort to ensure that your child’s French learning will progress normally and properly. For the Markham West location students (Woodbine): Five weeks of class material will be available on Thursday, March 19th for pick up from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. For the Markham East location students (Markham Road): Five weeks of class material will be available on Friday, March 20th for pick up from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. NB.: Starting next week, there will a secure drop box at each location to return completed homework for review. Please know that we take this decision to close Élan French with the utmost seriousness. This plan was not reached lightly or easily.
