Elation Medi-Spa 10.05.2021

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners treat the whole person, not just a symptom or pain point. This means that they are able to find and correct underlying structural dysfunctions within the body to facilitate health in the patient.

We are working on opening up our online schedule since the announcement. At Elation we have always been above average in terms of medical grade cleaning and sanitizing. Usually we all work with one guest/patient at a time, that being said there is still a few additional changes and you should expect: -To be called before your appointments to answer a few manditory questions. -If you have a mask please wear it.... Jenn, Irene, Jess, Cheryl, and Michelle are all very excited to be at your service!

I my new shirt! Find your fit! What does that mean? Well firstly finding and Osteopathic Practitioner is difficult it is such an amazing practice and most take a month or two to get in. If you are able to find one that is taking patients, try it out!... Find your fit! Although Osteopathy is becoming well known as a drug-less therapy, this does not mean it is a replacement for a medical doctor or your family physician. All health care is well respected and working together for YOUR best interest. Find your fit! All Osteopathic Practitioners are different and by that I mean how they are trained and what they call themselves. Osteopathy has many different names: Osteopath or Doctor of Osteopathy, DO is designated by law and accredited by the American Osteopathic Association. Here in Canada you will find some call themselves Manual Therapists, Rehabilitation Therapist, Osteopathic Medicine, Osteopathic Practitioners. Training: There is one school in Canada for Classically trained and principals based Osteopathy, and the other schools are technique based. I chose the Classically trained principals based Osteopathic program. I believe that every person has a different and unique body and not one single technique will work for everyone. *side note* I like a challenge and it pushes me to continue to dig for the root of an issue. I like that I have to continuously use my knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and the interrelationship to understand what may be happening. Structure affects function and vice versa. (Makes sense to me and that is my own personal opinion and not in any disrespect to any other). Find your fit! Do not give up after your first experience, since all practitioners are different please explore and try to find one that fits YOU! Not one will be offended if they are not your fit and instead will be happy to recommend or help you in that regard. I still have conversations with people who do not know what Osteopathy is and that is OK! So please if your in my area please stop by we can have a coffee and I can tell you all about it! Or book an appointment I would be happy to inform you.
