April 1, 2021 Happy Easter! As we head into our second year of dealing with the Covid-19... pandemic it becomes necessary for ECRA to get back to Policy and Procedures regulations. At this time our only method of fundraising is membership fees. Starting May 1,2021 we will be following the Policy that states members will pay $6.00 fot meals Monday to Thursday and $8.00 on Fridays. Nonmembers will pay $8.00 Monday to Thursday and $10.00 on Fridays. Membership is $25.00 a year for seniors 55 to 80 and $12.50 for seniors over 80 if they were a member last year. Starting May 1 st customers will need to show their membership card at the desk when they sign in and they will be given a poker chip which they will give to the cashier so she knows to charge you the appropriate price for your meal/meals. We will need all customers who are having food picked up by someone else to be members as well. At a $2.00 saving per meal it doesn’t take long to pay for your membership. Thank you for your support over the past year. We hope you will continue to support our Centre during 2021 and we also hope that this pandemic is over soon so we can get back to our normal activities. Thank you, Judy Griffith, President
Thank you CBC Daybreak North - Northern British Columbia for sharing our concerns. Please share if you know someone that would benefit from our support
Moving on up - or down, if you'd prefer! :) In the name of better accessibility for seniors and individuals with mobility challenges, the City of Prince George ...recently installed a new accessibility lift at the Elder Citizens Recreation Association (ECRA) seniors centre on 10th Avenue. The lift replaces the previous lift, which had exceeded its life expectancy and was in serious need of repair. This is just the latest progress the City has made in its on-going effort to improve accessibility in Prince George. For example, earlier this year, crews installed curb drops at popular City parks and public spaces to allow easier access for people using mobility devices or who have mobility challenges.
