I hope everyone is staying healthily in these crazy times. It’s been a crazy year but we have to stay positive and see the ups and not just the downs. I have a new man in my life who I love very much, I just got a ‘new to me’ car, I have had a few new business opportunities come my way because of the issues around Covid, my son was diagnosed positive for Covid last month, however he was asymptomatic and we caught it early before he passed it on to my mom or aunty Pat. The no ...visit rules right now are tough but it gives Rocky and I more time to hang out. I’m sending positive and I’m sending the vibes your way. I will say though that I miss all my show people, my customers/friends, my show roadies (vendor/friends), and of course the show organizers. We have a family dynamic that is very special. Like distant or far away relatives we see each other a few times a year, share stories, pictures food and friendship. I miss that the most. The money that keeps me afloat every year is great but my relationships are way more important. Just remember,I, thinking about all of you. My greatest wish it to be able to see all my people soon, be they near or far. Stay healthy and despite everything see the positives it’s quite freeing and uplifting. Hello my peeps. My friend Connie and I worked together on this project. Connie wanted a unique piece that represented the strength of women, especially during tough times. So I designed a piece that in my mind had a bit of everyone women in it. It is a daisy becaus we are all beautiful in our own way, even if we are missing a few petals, daisies to me are also a flower that can survive thought anything. my gramma had a 3 inch crack on the side of her driveway and every year t...he daisies found a way to make it their home, no water, no soil just life (my gramma was the most incredible person so the daisy also reminds me of her strength and determination) The necklace is asymmetrical because everyone has their own balance point and we need to find our own to find our strength, and it has a beautiful Austrian Crystal at the bottom to show us that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and we can find beauty in even the deepest trench. For the last 13 years I’ve been teaching aquafit. I started as a participant and got sucked into teaching, maybe I was a bit too exuberant in class lol. I love teaching. I used to teach 4-5 classes a week with both the YMCA and the City of Winnipeg. The Y was volunteer, every week for 9 years. I’m now down to one class a week. I love it (not so much in this weather) as I get exercise I get to lead an amazing bunch of people and I get free water to shower with lmao. Come out and join me. What a beautiful city I am fortunate enough to live in. Went for a walk at the Forks last night. It was bustling with people, inside and out. People were walking and skating and playing and laughing with each other. It brought joy to my soul. I’ve become a bit of a house cat in the past few years, I’ve decided that 2019 will be the year I put down the pliers and wire and go for a walk. It will be the year that I move forward and realize my dreams. I don’t make resolutions, ...this is my statement. This year I will be me, I won’t take crap from anyone, I’ll make things that make me happy, I create new things that people didn’t know that they needed, and I’ll happily sell to people that love my stuff, that appreciate me and what I do.
