One new requirement that has been set out by the province, is that all clients/patients must provide a Doctor prescription or a referral from a regulated Heath professional. Existing written prescriptions and/or referrals are still valid as long as they’ve been written within the last 12 months. Masks are required to be worn by both myself and you, while I am at your residence. While face down, it’s highly recommended to keep the mask on, however, if the client/patient is h...aving difficulty breathing, they may remove it until they have been moved to a face up position and for the rest of the time I am at your residence. This is to protect you and me and is a requirement that has been set out by my association as well as the government. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you are all having a great day despite the current covid situation! If you haven’t heard yet, massage therapy has now been allowed to reopen! Thank you to all of the provincial associations, clients/patients and other therapists for advocating for us! Watch for my next post that goes over a couple new requirements! Stay safe and happy!

Good morning!! I hope everyone has been staying safe and healthy!! My apologies for being absent on social media for the past few months. Things have been crazy at the clinic I work at, not leaving much/any time to allow for mobile work. Just an update, as I’m sure all of you are aware, as of Sunday (Dec 13) morning at midnight, all massage therapy services (as well as BUNCH of other services) are to be shut down for a minimum of 4 weeks, to try to bend the curve of Covid-19. Once we get a date that we will be allowed to resume practicing, I will update again, with some new hours and outline cleaning/safety protocols for mobile treatment. Do what you can to stay safe and healthy! Wear a mask, even if you hate them or don’t agree with them! Socially distance when you’re able to! Let’s gets us back to work!

GREAT NEWS!!! Massage therapy clinics can reopen starting tomorrow! I have made the choice, however, to not return to providing mobile massage therapy services until a future date, which I will post in later. I will still be starting back at the clinic I work at, starting tomorrow, so feel free to call in to South West Massage and Wellness!! I hope everyone has been staying safe and healthy!

I’ve been off work since July due to a sports injury, but will be back working by January! I’ll be back at the clinic (South West Massage and Wellness) as well as back to mobile massage as well.
