Diwali is India's biggest and most important festival of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. The festivities go on for five days in India. This festival is as important to Indians as Christmas to all of us.

Each sunrise will remind us about the brave act they pulled off in the war. They had the courage to stand tall when the world was hiding behind their back. Heartiest silence on this Remembrance Day.

"Trick or Treat, Brush Your Teeth Flossing Keeps Your Fangs on Fleek" Have a fun filled Halloween !!!... Here are our few tips for tooth-friendly trick or treating: Keep sweets and candies to meal-times only to reduce the amount of time teeth are exposed to them. Make sure your child does not eat sweets one hour or less before bedtime, as they could risk brushing off enamel from their teeth which has been weakened by an acid attack. Supervise brushing their teeth with a fluoride toothpaste before they go to bed. Brushing last thing at night is important as the mouth produces less saliva overnight. Offer sugar-free treats such as cheese, nuts or breadsticks as they are healthy alternative and do not cause tooth decay. Elgin Street Dental Centre is Now Open Dear valued patients, Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.... Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different. Most of these things are enforced by the Min Of health. We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you’re in the office. You may be asked to wait outside our office or stay in your car and call us when you arrive and continue to wait for a call back to let you know when we are ready to bring you in the office. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed. Clean hands saves life. Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect. Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, however it will reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any given time. You may be surprised to see that we’re wearing multiple layers of protective gears such as masks, face shields, gowns than we normally do during your Pre-covid visit. Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team. We eagerly look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment, call our office at 905-372-0168 or email us at [email protected]. You can also request for an appointment on the website at https://www.elginstreetdental.com/contactus Thank you for patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back! Sincerely, The Team at Elgin Street Dental Centre.

To our Patients and Community, We sincerely hope and wish that everyone is healthy and holding up just fine during this ongoing Pandemic. As most of you are aware that Ontario Dental Governing body (Royal College of Dental Surgeons) has instructed all the Dental offices to shut down the office temporarily, until the situation is under control. Due to this reason we also had to close our dental office in Mid March. This means that we would not be able see you in person and hav...e to cancel appointments in near future. We will try our best to make sure that once we resume work that we book appointment based on the priority so that patients with critical condition gets seen on priority. We understand that Oral Emergencies can happen, or you might have a question or need a consultation. Therefore, to help you navigate in this difficult situation with your dental needs, we would like to provide the below guidelines that will help you in taking the appropriate action. SITUATION 1 If it is an immediate Life-Threatening situation THEN CALL EMS/911 SITUATION 2 Dental Emergency: If you have any of the below then Call us on office number 905-372-0168 a.
