Elgin Equine Assisted Therapy

And.... riding was new to all of our campers... with one lesson a day some were able to ride on their own!!!!!

Our campers enjoyed slip and slide and water games with our camp staff!

Today Camp U-CAN campers learned about listening, receiving instruction and verbal communication during Equine Learning.

Well that’s a wrap folks! Camp U-CAN 2019 has come to an end! So many laughs and great memories over the week! Thanks again to the Douglas Utting Foundation and our private donors for making this a possibility! Thanks to our camp staff for making a pot luck lunch for our campers!

Today was a very busy day for our campers! Great crafts and some of our campers loved dance time with our volunteer Madison B.! Our campers not only danced it out- they helped to choreograph the dance!

Camp U-CAN is half way done and our week couldn’t be better! We are so thankful to the Douglas Utting Foundation and our private donors for making this week happen! From egg dropping, tye die shirts, making new two and four legged friends, riding, crafts and lots of laughs... we have had a great start!

We are excited to announce that we have received a $300 donation from a private donor in our community. If you know a child who fits the description for Camp U- CAN and they would like to attend this specialized camp at a rate of $300 for the week we would be happy to assist them. We are so thankful for the generous people in our community!

To our clients who are students... many of you may not receive an award or be on the honour roll this year... but we know what it took for you to get to school each day, to stay, to earn your credit or realize you have to take care of you before you can focus on school... and for that... you have won the award of perseverance, courage and strength. We are so proud of you!

Camp U- CAN plans are underway! We will be hosting camp from July 22nd- July 26th, 2019. Stay tuned for registration info, employment and volunteer opportunities.
