The ECC AGM will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 7pm! Location will depend on the current public health orders, and may have to take place online. We will keep everyone updated on that, but please save the date! The meeting should last around 30 minutes and all board positions are up for re-election!

Woohoo!!! So excited to announce we have just booked the most amazing entertainment for Virtual/Drive Thru Winter Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 6th. Stay tuned for more information!

We've had some questions about whether or not we'd be able to have skating lessons this year. As of right now, public health restrictions do not allow for classes. If/when that changes, we are ready to go, and will open registration at that time!

Just a reminder to everyone to ensure households are remaining 6 ft apart while participating in outdoor activities while on the ECC grounds! It was announced today that enforcement would be stepped up at outdoor recreation facilities in the province. From what we can see on the cameras, everyone is doing a great job of adhering to the regulations! Keep it up! Let's keep our facilities open so we can stay active!

The Elie Community Club would like to send a massive thank you out to Roger Gillis for crafting Santa's Cartier Sleigh. As I'm sure you all know, Santa's official sleigh must remain in isolation to be germ free for Christmas Eve, and Roger did an amazing job of building Santa a special sleigh to use tonight!

Let's work together to spread some Holiday Cheer. We don't have much time, and we are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. BUT, I know our RM can make this happen. We are looking for monetary donations this year. In lieu of hampers, gift cards will be given out. Donations can be dropped off at the RM of Cartier office in Elie or emailed to [email protected]. Can't make it to the RM office, or don't use email transfer? Let me know. I can arrange to pick it up! Can you or someone you know use some help this holiday season? The lights on the outdoor rink are on a timer! We'll be monitoring user traffic and tailoring the schedule over the next couple weeks! Please don't touch the switches in the meantime!

Here are our maps for Santa's Trip around Town in Elie and St Eustache tonight. Please remember all times are estimates, and to be on the lookout for Santa so you don't miss him! There are a few dead end streets we won't be able to make it down, so please check the maps! Santa will not be stopping at any point along the route. We must abide by all restrictions laid out by Public Health....Do NOT gather along the way, you must remain at your residence. We are so very excited to bring a little bit of holiday cheer to Elie & St Eustache in lieu of our annual holiday parade (which will be back bigger and better as soon as it's safe to gather again!).

Hello everyone! We will have the maps and times for the Santa drive-by out later today! It's proven difficult to do a nice clean map with the route crossing over itself many times. So we will just go with what we can do! It won't be super pretty, but it will have the route and times marked! When we timed the route for Santa, it took him about 45 min to do Elie, about 30 min to travel to St Eustache (so he doesn't damage his sleigh), and just under 30 minutes to do St Eustache.
