In case you missed it - we started Acts 1 today on the vista reading plan. And by missed it - I mean watching Pastor Luke on Insta Lives in a very creepy shed talking to Scott Poirier about the book of Acts. Where apparently @lads_motivation showed up at the Instagram live.... Like what a party. Go download the vista reading plan. We are reading our way through the New Testament this year. It is not too late to just in. Jump in where you can - when you can. Because any amount of time with Jesus is better than nothing. ________________________________________________ Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Act 1:12-14

We have had so many new people out at YA. If you are new and you know you are coming to YA. You can send and email to [email protected] ... and she'll make sure that either a lead team member or herself will introduce you around. It'll be weird. But do not that stop you. ... Because the next week you come... you'll be able to walk up to a familiar face. And YA COMMUNITY if you've been introduced to someone new. Look out for them next week. Friendly faces make the world a better place... even if you can only see half of them.

Sabbath was made for us. To rest. To delight in Jesus. To remember that we are to dwell with God. A whole day. Maybe you need to get off social? Delete the app for the day? Call a family member?... Force your roommate to have a tea party with you? Just saying. It would be fun. Go spend time with Jesus... with People that breathe life into your soul... With your passions and hobbies... Pick up a paintbrush. Go ride a bike. Go to the grocery store and cook a fancy meal. I don't know. But I do know this... Sabbath was made for us. So, take one.

Pay attention. It does not say give thanks for all circumstances. Some circumstances just suck... BUT cultivating gratitude through all circumstances... in the midst of all circumstances. That is a bold move. Go be bold. ... ______________________________ Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 See more
