Snow is starting. Off to bed and set some alarms to check on accumulations and potential end times through the night. Chris
Some snow developing this afternoon with a brief jump of temperature beforehand. Expect 1-2 this evening and maybe another 2 early Friday morning. Will be out hopefully before you start your day Friday.
Round 1 is almost complete. Having a short break and then back out to do some cleanups, including the mess the city plows will leave. Here’s a few pictures from the morning.
We have started clearing our properties. At least 10 of snow on the ground with daytime clearing, will no doubt prolong our clearing times. Chris
Looks like a busy day is coming up for snow clearing.
Some pretty vivid fall colours happening across the road at this flower farm.
Dear random lady caller at 7:40 pm, who left a voicemail but not your name or #. I don’t cut that row of triplexes that you mentioned looked like crap. I only park there because I’m not able to park on Baseline Road due to the no parking signs. You said that my work was less than Eilte and I should be ashamed of it. Sorry to break it to you but the house I’ve been cutting around the corner the last two years, looks Elite every time I leave and looked great tonight too. Gues...s I was in the wrong place at the wrong time while the other fellow was cutting the triplex property and leaving grass all over the side walk. I don’t have two trucks either...just the one you must have saw. Too bad you didn’t stick around and see exactly what I was doing and going with my mower. Not my job to tackle all properties that aren’t up to snuff in the city. Sorry. Call me back and I will answer this time as that first call interrupted my dinner after working all day and spending some time with my daughter. Chris Harrison Owner/Operator
Stopped to help a random homeowner to edge his lawn (along the sidewalks). I wouldn’t accept cash so he gave me a bottle of wine. My wife enjoyed it.
Storm looks to be coming in, finished just in time.
Are your leaves starting to fall yet? Many properties we service in the city are experiencing falling leaves. If you want yours cleaned up this fall, let us know. We have limited spots for weekly cleanup available.
Appreciative text message from a customer recently. Always nice to be appreciated.
Some hedge trimming was done yesterday and much needed rain today.
Did some pressure washing/siding cleaning yesterday. Hot but at least the water helped cool ya down.
Was a hot day to end the week. Lawns are getting pretty dry out there too.
Some recent work completed.
Large property we cut today.
Got a few done today before the rain. Still long and out of control
Some more of the crazy thick lawns we serviced today.
Couple of mulch jobs done today.
Some of the lawns we took care of this week.
A few of our lawns we do on Fridays.
Picked up our new 7’ x 14’ trailer today. Thanks to @ Angela Bluewater Trailers
As of today we have been given the go ahead to start completing cleanups, dethatching and cutting for our customers. Decorative and aesthetic requests (like mulch) will still have to wait. http://www.london.ca//Lawn-care-and-grass-maintenance-.aspx
Picked up our new John Deere 36 stand on mower today. Mindful of current world events but prepared for what’s to come with our business. Wash your hands folks and stay home as much as possible. Thanks to Ryan Williams at JD Huron Tractor-Arva for the help.

That was a good long day and at one point I wondered if that snow squall was going to move? It did move about 4 hours after expected and all properties have been cleared. Totals were around the 6 mark in most areas of the city that we service. Pic for attention.
Evening snow tonight has dropped a small layer of fresh snow. Another system later may drop another 1-2 which then should taper off through the morning. But with snow squalls anything is possible. Will be going out to clear around 5 am with the snow almost complete (fingers crossed). Chris
Small squall came through early this morning and dropped a bit of snow in west London mainly. All seasonal properties have been cleared if they reached the 1-2 mark. Chris
Friends and customers. An early snow system came through London after midnight and dropped 2-4 in parts of the city. Drive safe and we’re out clearing. Chris
We are working diligently to clear our properties as best we can in the conditions. Travel is very slow during daytime plowing and cuts down on response time immensely. Rain is also making hand shovelling take longer as well. Patience is a virtue, so thank you customers for understanding. Chris
Snow is expected tomorrow morning and into the afternoon ranging possibly from 4-8. Around noon it may turn to rain briefly. To our customers, we may do an initial clearing of driveways only and then return later to tidy up the driveways and walkways. Thanks for your patience tomorrow, as daytime snowfalls will delay our travel times due to traffic. ... Chris
Customers and friends...snow is falling and should continue through the day. We are planning on clearing our properties around 5 pm (or earlier) once the system has passed and accumulation is around 3. Squalls are predicted along with high winds at times today. Drive safe all. Chris
We have cleaned up our properties early this morning and as you can see, we may not be having a green Christmas . Snow accumulations were more in the north end and almost nothing in the west end. Drive safe and watch out for ice underneath any snow. Chris
Small snow system has come through but not too much accumulation in southwest London. For those customers who we do snow clearing for, we will be keeping an eye for further snow this afternoon and make rounds late tonight if needed. Given the unpredictability of where snow can land in these squalls, please message us if you’re area needs clearing as it may be different where we are. Thanks. Chris
One of the last leaf cleanups for the season was done today. Calling for a bit of snow on Saturday, and we’re hoping to be done all fall work on Thursday.
Update: We have reached our capacity for the start of the season. As we get familiar with our route and service times, a spot here or there may open up, but only if it’s in close proximity to existing customers. Thanks for sharing and supporting our business. ... Elite Lawn Care & Property Services is ready for winter. We are just about full on our schedule but may be able to accept a few more in west London. Message if interested in pricing. Chris
A few of the larger properties we cut this week. One more day and then a few off to recharge for some leaf and garden cleanups happening over the next month.
More mulch today
Little bit of mulch yesterday
Last one for the day. This one needed some attention and got it. And added a client out of it too.
And another one.
One of our new properties we are servicing this year
One of the lawns we provide weekly maintenance on cut at 3.5 and weed services taken care of by Bobby Lawn Care London. Reminder grass is growing in most spots 3-6 per week, cutting too much off each week stresses the turf, promotes weed growth and sometimes just looks bad if you haven’t bagged the grass. We recommend keeping the turf at a minimum of 3.5 or higher if the grass is healthy and growing excessively. You shouldn’t be cutting off more than a 1/3 of the height ...at any one time, however we try and keep our customers happy with our service and can cut lower, but only to a point. We want our work to represent the knowledge we are gaining in this industry and we try and educate our customers along the way. Happy Saturday everyone. Chris
