I can't believe how much work we have put into this little home of ours. It's funny how home ownership can keep you putting around, completing what you must to make it a home without realizing how much work you have actually done! My husband and I have spent 7 years perfecting this little house so I thought I'd share some of the work we've completed over the years. When we purchased this home the front door was at the top of the stair case when you walked in. I had a 2 ye...ar old, a new born who was only a couple months old and a dog so I knew the only way we could buy this house was if we moved the stairs or the front door. After much debate we decided moving the front door was the only real option. We opened up the front wall, took out the big kitchen window and replaced it with 2 side windows, re-centered the door and updated the front exterior with stone instead of brick. We painted over the brown shutters with a pop of colour, built a composite deck big enough for a family to enjoy the view and put in all new landscaping. I also wanted to freshen up the garage door so we went with the same vibrant colour and added faux windows to give it some interest. Have you ever tried to create a logo? My oh my, it seems like an easy task but I promise you it is not. This is probably my 4th or 5th attempt to creating an image to represent myself, my business and my outlook on life. I am finally able to say "I nailed it!" lol. I am so proud of this logo, its exactly what I want people to think when they hear my name, see my face or wonder what I'm about. I recently completed a DISC assessment which is a Universal assessment mode...l that focuses on individual behaviours measured by characteristics using directness and openness for dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientious. This is what came up: "Very Outgoing and Persuasive, Very People Oriented, Quite Optimistic Outlook, Strong Communication Skills, Likes to have Variety in their day." Boom... its totally true! I will always find the silver lining. I love when people are able to connect, agree and believe in what I am saying. I have really strong communication skills, I believe I can connect and speak with anyone willing to give me the time and I love change. It's official... I've adapted to Zoom calls and connecting through a screen. It felt so weird in the beginning. I wasn't sure where I should sit, what I sounded like and if the other person was okay with this strange new normal. Now I feel confident, ready and excited to jump on Zoom calls. It takes no time to get to the office, coffee is always stocked and nobody knows if I have pants or pajama bottoms on! (You will never know either ) I LOVE being able to share my screen with clients//friends/ co-workers, makes it so much easier to go over comparable sales, marketing stats and I can record it so if I'm unsure about something I can just go back and check it out without having to ask again. Have you been on a zoom call yet, how do you feel about them?

Congratulations to all the home owners who took the jump 10 years ago! Homeownership comes with the good, the bad and the ugly.
