Happy Canada Day! Elk Lake Dentistry is closed for the Canada Day long weekend and will reopen on Monday July 6th.

Dear patients of Elk Lake Dentistry, In the words of our Prime Minister today, exceptional circumstances are calling for exceptional measures, and it is time to take every precaution to keep everyone, especially the most vulnerable, safe. In alignment with today's direction from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, our Dental College has made the following recommendations and guidance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This guidance is in place until further notic...e. All elective and non-essential dental services are to be suspended. As such, we will be in contact with you in order to cancel scheduled appointments on a week by week basis. We will however, remain available for the management of emergency treatment for our patients of record. Emergency treatment includes immediate treatment due to infection, acute pain or trauma. Pre-screening by phone will be required to ensure a thorough pre-treatment risk assessment that includes risk to the patient, to the oral health care provider and to the greater community before any treatment is undertaken. If risks are identified that cannot be immediately or sufficiently mitigated, the determined care must be postponed or referred to another facility. We wish to reassure you that no one from our office attended the Pacific Dental Conference and that we have continually practiced high standards of Infection Control Protocols not only during this Pandemic, but routinely as required by our Standards of Practice. The main roads are cleared, Hamsterly Road is not. Please take your time when you are coming to the office for an appointment. If you only have 2wd and have concerns, please call the office.

Happy Easter! Elk Lake Dentistry will be closed Friday April 19th and Monday April 22nd for the Easter long weekend.

Thank you for your patience while we are closed for snowmageddon 2019. We recognize that the climate varies significantly from one district to the next. Our receptionist Angela is enjoying clear roads in James Bay, but Shelley is up to her Knees in snow in Brentwood Bay. Our goal, weather permitting, is to be open on Thursday February 14th at 8am.
