Throwing this out to see how many people would like to see an outdoor sheet of ice in the parking lot of the rink? There would be restrictions like only 5 people at one time, social distancing practices like normal? Please comment what your thoughts are, just don’t want to do it and everyone have their own rinks and/or go to the rivers? Just looking for feedback thanks

Elm Creek Skating Rink 28.10.2020

Minor Hockey Registration Aug 7-17th We have been waiting for some direction from Hockey Manitoba on what the upcoming hockey season is going to look like, and they recently released their "Return to Play Draft" linked here http://www.hockeymanitoba.ca//Hockey-Manitoba-Return-to-Pl . Please give it a read as these will be the guidelines we will use for the hockey season. We will work towards putting together a policy that more individually pertains to our situation with pra...ctices and games in Elm Creek now that we have received the Return to Play mandate. Registration August 7-17 Registration link- https://registration.hockeycanada.ca/registration/?ID=1086 Registration Fees with be collected prior to the start of the season, typically at the first practice U7- $250 Age groups U9 and older- $300 A $100 late fee will apply for registration after Aug. 17. Whether or not we will be able to ice a team at the different age groups will depend on the number of registrants. If your child played in a neighbouring association last year, but are within the Elm Creek area, they need to register in Elm Creek. If we have insufficient numbers we will work with everyone to find a place for your child to play in neighbouring associations. Parents of first year players are required to complete a Respect in Sport course. https://hmbparent.respectgroupinc.com/ The course must be complete before the player is allowed to participate on the ice. This year Hockey Canada has changed the names of the different age groups - see chart below for reference. YEAR OF BIRTH AGE ON DEC. 31 AGE DIVISION 2014 and before 6 & under Under-7 (U7) 2012-2013 7-8 Under-9 (U9) 2010-2011 9-10 Under-11 (U11) 2008-2009 11-12 Under-13 (U13) 2006-2007 13-14 Under-15 (U15) 2003-2004-2005 15-16-17 Under-18 (U18) We will share with you what our protocols will be for the upcoming season once we have them completed. We will follow the guidelines set forth from Hockey MB and the Provincial Health Officer. Keep in mind that the protocols may change as the COVID situation changes. This season will likely be a little different from previous ones, so if you have questions or concerns about the upcoming season, please feel free to call, text or email me at my contact given below.
