To all our Elm Grove Campers Just wanted to let everyone know that due to the predicted low temperatures over the upcoming days, Kim will be turning the water off for the season tomorrow- Friday. A little earlier than initially planned but we need to protect the pipes from freezing. Thanks again everyone for another good season and for your patience in these unusual times. Wishing everyone a great winter- stay safe and healthy. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the spring!

As the season winds down just sending a couple of reminders. Don’t forget to make arrangements to have your trailers winterized - see Kim if you need a resource for this. And also before your last visit to the park please be sure to see Kim for your final hydro bill. Thanks everyone for another great season. Despite the rather challenging times it was great to have our campers back and see everyone enjoying some fun and relaxation

Although it’s been a different season at Elm Grove, today is a great day to celebrate this terrific country we live in (while continuing our physical distancing of course). Unfortunately we will not be having fireworks this weekend and private fireworks are not permitted. We ask that everyone respect this and hopefully in the not too distant future we will once again be able to enjoy a fireworks display as wonderful as we have seen at Elmgrove in the past. Good Morning Elm Grove Campers Good news! We have been working with Public Health towards preparing the pool for opening. We were inspected yesterday which went well. However, pool visits will look very different this season and we want to emphasize how important it is that everyone follow the new guidelines in order for the pool to remain open. Please review the new rules we are required to follow: - people should shower before coming to the pool - the pool shower will be o...pen, however the pool bathroom will not - hands need to be sanitized upon entry to and exit from the pool - a sanitizing station will be set up by the gate - everyone needs to sign in upon entry providing name, time and date of entry, site number and a valid telephone number - social distancing is a must - tape on the ground and signs have been posted to remind people to abide by this at all times - all chairs have been removed - cleaning of all surfaces will be done at very regular intervals with a corresponding checklist being completed for tracking - capacity will remain at 10 to start unless there appears to be trouble maintaining the proper distance - please refrain from bringing guests to the pool due to our limited capacity - no noodles or other water toys are allowed in pool area - no food or drinks are allowed in the pool area - and finally we do ask that everyone be considerate of others in terms of taking reasonable turns in using the pool Thank you in advance for your cooperation. And special thanks to Jeff and Judy for your assistance in preparing the pool for opening. Unfortunately failure to abide by these rules will result in the pool being closed for the remainder of the season which we don’t want to see happen. So please enjoy everyone and let’s stay safe!

Good Morning Elm Grove Campers We want to give a shout out and thank you to Wendy and Rick Perkins who have shared with us a receipt for a very significant donation to Sick Kids Hospital in the amount of $955.30 from the campers of Elm Grove Trailer Park. This donation came from the beer and liquor empties gathered by Wendy and Rick from our campers over the course of last season and has gone to a wonderful hospital. We very much appreciate your efforts in co-ordinating this initiative Wendy and Rick and the generous support of everyone who participated. Please see Wendy and Rick at site B62 if u would like to donate your empties this season.

Update re: Transient camping and Pool Opening: The government has extended the closure of overnight/transient camping sites until the 30th of June. We do remain permitted to allow seasonal campers on site. We still urge everyone to continue minimizing the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19 by social distancing (staying 6 ft apart) and limiting group gatherings to no more than 5 people. Recreational facilities such as our rec hall and pool will remain closed. As well,... our main bathrooms are still under construction and will also remain closed. Although the province is moving towards stage two of the reopening plan, York Region is part of the Greater Toronto Area and therefore will be delayed until there is a further decrease in COVID-19 reported cases. Please note that our municipality is encouraging people coming to the community to bring their supplies and remain at their vacation site. At Elm Grove our seasonal campers are welcome to come to the park, but please NO visitors. None of the public areas will be open including the bathrooms. And we ask everyone to please practice strict physical distancing while at the park. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing everyone

May 9th at Elm Grove - unbelievable Mother Nature!

Hi Elm Grove Campers Although we know how anxious everyone is to start the camping season, unfortunately all campgrounds, RV parks and RV resorts have been ordered to close until May 19th at the earliest in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. So we ask you to have patience for a bit longer. But just as a tease please enjoy the pics below of the bathroom Reno - things are moving along nicely inside and out.

We are asking that you please do your part to help flatten the curve by staying home. Please do not drive to any campground for any reason; owners are not permitted to let you onto the grounds. Our owners will welcome yo...u once it is safe and sound to do so. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to opening as soon as the province gives the word. In the meantime please know we are working hard to get the park ready ~ the bathroom reno is coming along nicely (both the men’s and ladies). Stay tuned for pics and updates. Stay safe everyone!

Good news is that we will open Elm Grove only to those campers who do not have another residence in Canada. And the snow birds who are returning will not be asked to find alternative accommodations after their two week quarantine period at the park which is certainly a relief. Meaning, all non-essential businesses are to remain closed until May 12th.... Confirmed today by the: Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries (MHSTCI), Ministry of Northern Development, Energy and Mines (MNDEM) So please check back for further updates. As of now Elm Grove will remain closed at least till the above date - May 12th. However if snowbirds are just returning from out of country and have no where else to quarantine please contact us about using your trailer for the two week quarantine period. Thanks for your understanding - keep well everyone!

Hi Campers Hoping everyone is continuing to stay safe and well. We are all adapting to this new normal of staying home, venturing out only for essentials and practicing social and physical distancing. At Elmgrove we are awaiting further opening instructions from the Ontario Private Campground Association and will keep you posted as we know more. We have had some requests from people to come to their trailers, however because we are not classified as an essential service, i...t is our understanding that we must remain closed or risk hefty fines. On the upside, we are taking advantage of this time to do a much needed bathroom renovation. We have started on the men's side and will be putting in new lighting, paint, tile, fixtures, stalls and flooring. It's looking really good so far but is a very big project. Just a little something for folks to look forward to that will improve our park. Take good care all and stay tuned for more updates.
