While fixing one problem, make sure not to cause another! When waterproofing a basement expect lots of dirt to come out of the excavation. It’s best to put down plywood where you plan on placing the excavated soil. This way you don’t damage the grass and the homeowner won’t have anymore repair bills.

This is what a clogged drainage system (weeping tile) looks like. This client called us in to inspect why his basement floor was constantly wet. When your exterior drainage system is clogged, ground/rain water has no place to discharge and eventually finds a way inside your basement. In a situation like this, we have to constantly pump the water out of the trench in order to properly complete the job.
