Elora Optometry is thrilled to announce our newest team member - Xiomara. Xiomara and her family have recently moved to Fergus to get the small town feel of our area. She comes to our office with extensive knowledge as has worked in eye care for the past 14 years. Xiomara enjoys relaxing with her family and time together. We are so excited to have her expertise at our office!

All about DILATION DROPS: Your optometrist may recommend drops to be used to help dilate your pupils. This helps the doctor to be able to get a better view of the inside of your eyes. Dilation drops also help to screen for potential eye/health problems such as diabetes, cataracts, high blood pressure, macular degeneration & glaucoma. Temporary effects of the drops may include light sensitivity and/or blurred vision which can last about 3-4 hours afterwards. Typically healthy adults between the ages of 20 and 65 are recommend to come into the office for a routine eye examination every 1-2 years. Eye exams are recommended annually for children under the age of 19 and adults over the age of 65.
