Meet Tweet. Tweet was brought to us at Elska by amazing individuals that seen he was in distress when they found him. By looking at him you wouldnt have even known that he actually had been injured behind his wing. He was taken to Guardisn Veterinary where he will receive amazing care and the help needed.

Meet Hootie. We received a call yesterday from a passer by that notice him sitting in the ditch. When we had gotten there, he was just hanging out. Like you saw in the picture. Thinking he would be frightened, we went in slow as to not make any sudden movements to scare him into the road. We were able to successfully pick him up and get him into a secured spot for transport. He is currently at the Alberta Society For Injured Birds Of Prey where he will be looked at and taken care of for the time being until he can be released back into his world. Hootie did suffer from a compound fracture on his wing, which made it hard for him to fly. Stay tuned for updates of our new friend.
