The latest snow worked perfectly for me. Not on any of my work days and Dave was home and did all the shovelling. My job was to play with a very happy dog. She loves the snow.

I have been back to work for just over a month now. I am getting used to the new routines. Glad to see people again. We all just need to remember to be kind and be cautious.

I may have jinxed myself. I woke up with a bit of a sore throat and a headache today. My new start date will be June 1. That gives me 10+ days to self isolate. I will start calling people tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well

The College of Massage Therapists have gotten approval for our return to work. I will be getting everything in order this week and will be reopening (with limits) Starting May 25/20. There are guidelines to be followed for everyone's safety. Tuesday May 19, I will begin phoning people to book appointments. I will need to actually speak to people in order to ask some questions. In this day and age this will be a novelty after just texting about appointments for the last few years. Hope everyone has been well and I will be calling soon.

I am waiting for the return to practice protocolto be put out by the College Of Massage Therapist’s of B.C. This is the latest: BC’s Restart Plan (PDF see page 14) stated that registered massage therapy, along with other community-based regulated health professions, would resume in Phase 2, which is from mid-May onwards, and under enhanced protocols.... The Plan did not set out a single specific start date for resumption of RMT practice, only that it had to be (1) on or after mid-May, and (2) with enhanced protocols in place. CMTBC has developed a return-to-practice protocol for RMTs, which is in the approval process and will be posted by the end of this week. RMTs will be required to implement the protocols and to create a return-to-practice plan that is specific to their treatment environment, incorporating the CMTBC guidelines. Once they have done so, they may return to practice, provided that the guidelines continue to be followed carefully and consistently. It looks like RMT’s in B.C. will be back to work in phase 2. I don’t think this is exactly what it will look like but I do t have details yet. I will be calling people soon to set up appointments.

The office remains closed for the foreseeable future but I will let everyone know when we are allowed to reopen. I am lucky to live in such a wonderful place. Flowers are blooming and my solitary walks with the dog have some spectacular views. Stay healthy everyone

I have been debating about closing and now on the recommendation of our College I have made my decision. I will be calling patient today to cancel appointments. For the time being I will be closed until April 1/20. At that time I will reassess. Please everyone, take a breath, wash your hands and enjoy spring as it blooms for us.... Home from a great holiday. Palm Springs where we hiked in snow when we went up the tram and then Vegas with some family. We represented western Canada very well. Back to work Monday.

All day our forecast said it was cloudy. Do weather people not look out the window? It was clearly snowing all day.

Our last camping weekend of the year. We went to Miracle Beach and had mostly good weather (a couple showers Friday night). We also got to visit with some friends and family around the campfire. Of course, I only have pictures of the dog.

I went to my first Pride parade today, thanks to these lovely ladies. It was a fun well attended event. It was so nice to see so many accepting people. I am proud of where I live.

My rhododendron looks so good this year. I think it has decided it likes where we moved it.

This is how deep it is in our back yard. Enjoy this short sunny break as they are predicting 15-25 more centimetres starting this afternoon.

Happy Winter! Today is my first day off for the Christmas break. My last day was a bit strange with the power out, crazy wind and cancelling my last 2 clients.
