Welcome to our refreshed look! . It’s been such a pleasure working with Amber of @sweeney.curations, who worked her magic and built upon my existing logo. She created a monogram set, branded colour scheme, email signature, signage (coming to a construction site near you!), countless other additions oh and my favourite: custom GIPHYS! You’re being forewarned - you’ll see them a lot here on out in my stories #sorrynotsorry .... It was really fun to play client and be on the other side of the design process. Amber was super patient with my questions, indecisiveness and she really educated me through the whole process. Most importantly she impressed the hell out of me with how above & beyond she takes her work. Thank you, Amber. . I am about to embark on some web design as my second phase to complete the new look & I am so excited to have this foundation laid out going forward. . What an incredible compilation of all the amazing new elements Amber from Sweeney Curations created

Butlers pantry - do you know what that is? Well, to me it’s the extension of the kitchen but often serving up a bit more function. For us, it’s a place where we can hide our coffee maker, toaster, crock pot & other seldom used kitchen appliances. I often add this small little tucked away space on a floor plan - as a way to connect spaces together, like the Dining Room, walk-in Pantry or in my case my Mudroom/Laundry room / family drop zone space. Last week I shared a sneak peek of my personal home’s basement built-ins & the progression of them from idea to actuality. While, I’m not a DIY focused business - they sure are a lot of fun! Our whole house is one big DIY project (that’s what happens when a carpenter marries a designer!) and these built-ins were no exception too. Our home is a labour of our love for it & that is what I strive to achieve for every custom home I design. I like to think I create floor plans... with spaces to be loved and built on much like ours here. Can you believe this is an @ikeacanada hack?? I still can’t! I’m so impressed with the outcome.
