I’d like to Thank Anthony Furey of the Toronto Sun for sharing the stories of people and businesses being effected by the lockdowns of COVID19. Admittingly this was difficult for me to share during one of the hardest period of my life but the word needs to get out. Politicians need to take a closer look at the decisions they are making vs impact on people’s lives vs keeping the public safe. Any suffering business owner and especially my fellow school owners in the indust...ry, has had these same ups and downs I’ve experienced throughout COVID19. I truly hope the right set of eyes reads this and we are permitted to reopen sooner, rather than later. P.S. Do not mistake being tearful for weakness. Thank you Blogto. I appreciate the opportunity to defend my business and this industry as a whole. After suffering through an extended lockdown, I was given only 10 short weeks to get back to operating my small business. We followed all protocols, we did nothing wrong, we had ZERO cases! Not to mentioned we provided a great help to people’s mental and physical health during this terrible time. This closure is truly arbitrary and does the community a complete disservice. Today my heart is burdened and heavy with this news but I’m determined to see myself and my school through this

HAPPY 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ELITE MARTIAL ARTS TORONTO Today Elite Martial Arts Toronto turned 7 years old! 7 years ago I believed in myself and my ability & desire to help people through the Martial Arts that I love. At the time, I remember thinking ... This is either a really good idea or a really bad idea...I don’t know which one yet Turns out that opening the school was the best decision I have ever made. I have met so many special people. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime, I’ve been able to travel the world and have enjoyed seeing the success of my students. Many of the students have gone on to become Black Belts, become instructors, become Muay Thai Fighters and form their own special bonds and friendships (and a few relationships too ). I tell the students all the time, Elite is not my school, it is OUR school. Together, we have built a truly special community. I want to give a sincere thank you to all who have helped train me, encouraged me and helped make this dream a reality. I am forever greatful to everyone who has been part of this school, especially the students. Without the students, there is no school. Our amazing students are what makes the school so great. I cannot thank everyone enough. Obviously this not the circumstances I wanted to celebrate the 7 year anniversary but being reunited with our students and instructors will be celebration enough Here’s to many more years of great training and good times
