Welcome Betty Tsukahara to Embellish Co. Pass the word, she will be teaching quilting and I continue to teaching Thursdays and Saturdays.

I have done some experimenting that has met, I'm happy to say, with great success! I once took my Highschool Fashion class to Fanshawe College on a field trip and they there provided my students with dress forms to create fashions on. The students enjoyed playing with fabric and design so much that ever since I have given thought as to how I might create economical and accessible version of a dress form. Now I present .... (drum roll) ... the Minnequin! As an added bonus, she is made from recycled materials. The next step involved testing out the draping process on her shapely little bod. Leave it to me, I dragged the little miss to the Bahamas, purchased a local textile and began playing. The process worked wonderfully and I hope to soon teach draping on Minnie (or, should she be called Minique? A classier nickname, do you think?)
