Hello everyone! We are delighted to announce that Natalia Dlab has volunteered to Shin for Ember Arts, and lead our group in auditioning for the 2021 Burning Man Fire Conclave. This is a great responsibility and we hope that you will join us in supporting her. Conclave has many steps to take with the first to submit intent which Natalia has done. Now we can start/continue working on routines for our audition video including the fan choreogrpahy that we have been building thes...e past few weeks. At this time we do not know if the big burn will happen as it traditionally has however we will plan as if it were and make adjustments along the way. If you want to be part of the routine but still cant commit to the big trip in August, please come out and dance anyways. Learn the routines, show up for practices, be there for filming. We will figure out the hard travel details later. Ultimately, we are committed to making beautiful fire art and keeping the creative spirit alive in our community right now! Stay tuned for more info from Natalia coming soon! Photo Credit: James Deane
For all of you firebugs out there... Burning Man's Fire Conclave is gathering for a fire jam tonight on Zoom. Join the Zoom to spin or just watch the pretty fire through our livestream or Twitch!
In preparation for Burning Man’s first ever Virtual Event week, we are excited to announce the creation of our new website: http://www.fireconclave.org. We inv...ite you to join in community as we keep the ritual of fire that is the heart of Burning Man alive. Our website will host multi-media galleries (fire performance videos and images) and streams (both live and pre-recorded) that can be fed into other BM camp/group events. We have also created a Fire Conclave Convergence camp, which we hope to have active in several of the multiverses, and fed to the live stream on our new website. Our stream will include fire performances collected during the pandemic along with audition videos from years past. Along with the pre-recorded videos there will be several LIVE events with opportunities to perform. Currently we are planning 4 LIVE STREAM EVENTS. Stay tuned to http://fireconclave.org for updates to the schedule. ** 1/4 Opening Ceremony (Live Broadcast) ** The Opening Ceremony is a ritual performance built upon lighting the fire that will burn throughout the week, and will later become part of what ignites the Man Burn. Monday Aug 31st Event starts @ 5:30 PM PST Soft Ending @ 8:30 PM PST ** 2/4 Fire Photography - Techniques in Capturing the Flame ** The Great Circle Documentarians: Hank Leiter, Grant Palmer and Kevin Levezu will review techniques in photographing fire artists. Wednesday Sept 2nd Event Starts @ 5:00 PM PST Soft Ending @ 6:00 PM PST Hard Ending @ 6:30 PM PST ** 3/4 Group Jam / Dance Dance Night (Live broadcast) ** A night of fire and dancing from around the world. Thursday Sept 3rd Event Starts @ 8:00 PM PST Soft Ending @ 12:00 AM PST ** 4/4 Burn Night (Live broadcast) ** Fire Conclave Performance Saturday Sept 5th Event Starts @ 7:00 PM PST Hard Ending @ 9:30 PM PST This will be a soft ending where we will end when we no longer have participants or when we can no longer keep our eyes open, whichever happens first. The Hard ending on Burn Night is traditional, the Man burns at 9:30. If you want to submit a video or participate in one of the live events use this form to participate: https://forms.gle/KLMs5me9SC6XpqDP7
