Osteo That’s to do with bones right? Osteo- refers to bones but can also refer to structure and -pathy refers to suffering or disease. In the context of Osteopathy as a therapeutic system of healing, it doesn’t just consider the bones but includes the suffering of all structures in the body. While an emphasis is placed upon the alignment of your bones, treatment takes into account vascular, neural, lymphatic, muscular, visceral, and connective tissue structures as... well. By doing so, Osteopathy aims to treat the whole body as a mechanically complex and unified system to facilitate the natural ability that it has to heal and regulate itself. New moms are starting to open up about their experiences with pain and incontinence following childbirth The pelvic floor muscle group is part of the body that many people do not think about, or maybe even know it exists. After giving birth many women start to experience issues involving their pelvic floor. Whether it's pain, incontinence, or a pressure/heaviness sensation.... There’s often a taboo that exists about pelvic floor and many women are afraid to discuss it. When your pelvic floor muscles become too weak or stretched, patients can suffer from urinary or fecal incontinence or a condition known as organ prolapse, when the organs held up by the pelvic floor drop. Women should never be afraid to talk about these issues or be afraid to seek out information or help when experiencing these issues, during or after pregnancy To book a pelvic health appointment https://embody.janeapp.com/locati/embody-health-centre/book
