Colouring Easter eggs is my favourite annual activity. Perhaps it’s because I love spring so much, as eggs have been a symbol of spring for eons (long before Christianity and our Easter celebrations of today). Perhaps it’s because I love art and this is a holiday tradition that involves art. Perhaps it’s because the Agars did Easter so well each year. The oodles of cousins would get together when we were little and the adults would make us scavenger hunts with clues all over ...the yard (haystacks, barns, shops, garden, everywhere!). Perhaps I just like it because I just like it. Anyways, this year we upped our game by doing the eggs in the traditional Ukranian style. I had done these a bunch of times at Pioneer Clubs as a kid. It was much fun to share the art form with the family. I’m sure over the years our eggs will just get better and better.

It would have been my dad’s 59th birthday today. I know he would be tearing up looking at these photos of my amazing little sister and her growing family. I know I am proud of the woman she’s become and the life she’s created. He would be too. #loveyou #missyou

It’s simple really: notice the small thing, get lots of fresh air, make moments count, and live in gratitude. #happythursday

Just a couple of besties making delicious birthday treats. We celebrated Emma’s birthday this weekend (she turns 11 tomorrow ). There’s research that supports the importance of girls having strong friendship bonds at an early age. It helps to build confidence and a sense of security as they grow. I’m lucky that these two found each other. They are the cutest little buds. ... #bestbuds #happybirthday
