Here’s a look inside the #covid19 Assessment Centre at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Enter off of Coronation Blvd. closest to Riverbend Place Seniors Community. ...Parking is available in Lot D, parallel to Coronation Blvd. Located just outside the Wing C entrance, the Assessment Centre has it’s own entrance. When you arrive, you will call the telephone number provided and the helpful staff member will ask a few questions over the phone. They will ensure that everything is prepared just for you, and you will be invited inside. Your first stop will be the sink where you will wash your hands (for at least 20 seconds!). Put on a mask (one will be provided for you to keep, if needed) and proceed to the patient care area, set up and sanitized just for you. You will be met by a physician or nurse who will confirm some information and explain the test process to you. The swab that is used is teeny tiny, a little shorter than a ballpoint pen, and very narrow. You will be asked to tilt your head back, remove your mask from your nose (keeping your mouth covered), and the swabbing process will start. 10,9,8,7..... voilà! You did it! A handout will be provided with information on how to access your test results, and you will be on your way. It’s efficient and easy. No worry about waiting with others in a crowded room; the team are courteous and friendly. Open 7 days per week, appointments may be made by calling 519-621-2333 x 2689 or by email [email protected] visit the CMH website www.cmh.org for more details. #ourcmh #cmhstrong #weareinthistogether #gettested #cbridgeawesome #wrawesome @rowpublichealth See more

Great news! Covid-19 testing is open to both symptomatic and asymptomatic residents within the Waterloo Region at all three hospitals if you: - have at least... one symptom OR - are concerned that you may have been exposed OR - at risk of exposure through your employment. The Cambridge-North Dumfries Treatment and Assessment Centre is located at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Please call 519-621-2333 x 2689 or email [email protected] for an appointment. Directions to the clinic and instructions for when you arrive will be provided. We are strongly encouraging appointment bookings to ensure everyones safety. We do not want people waiting in lines or waiting rooms. Additional staff have been brought in and we are booking as many appointments as we can. Please note: the test currently being offered is not an antibody test. It will only tell you if you currently have active #covid19 virus.
