We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children ages 2 to 5, brings positive energy, professionalism and encouraging support to staff. You must: Possess an Early Childhood Educator II classification from the Province of MB. Demonstrate great knowledge of Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Best Practices. In anticipation of opening in June, Emerson Kinder College is looking for an enthusiastic Child Care Assistant to work alongside the Director and other CCAs. The CCA will help provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children. Responsibilities include:... -supervision through play, -leading small group activities, -organizational duties, -preparing the play centers and art preparation as needed. The CCA must have current First Aid, criminal/child abuse record checks. This is a full-time summer position, with the potential for a permanent position. Good Afternoon Parents, The board has made the decision to close the centre for tomorrow March 20, 2020 due to unforeseen circumstances. March 15 2020 As of right now, although Border Land School Division classes will be suspended March 23, Emerson Kinder College will remain open. If we hear anything different we will post it here and/or e-mail all parents. So please continue to check FB and your e-mail in order to be informed as to the latest updates. Our Annual General Meeting is this Monday, October 21 at 6:30 pm in the Emerson School Library. Please see the image attached for current issues up for discussion. We are needing gently used winter wear for all ages of children. If you have a pair of ski pants, jacket, mittens, hat, scarf or boots that you are no longer needing Emerson Kinder College would really appreciate the donation. I have looked over our inventory and the results are not positive. The donation pieces are for your children to use when mittens, a hat or a different item is forgotten at home. We are excited to announce Melanie had a baby boy (Bennett Riley) Friday, May 31. He was born 2 months early so he is in the NICU where he will remain for 4-5 weeks. Anyone wishing to donate funds to help with costs traveling back and forth to the city can do so at the centre.

We are looking to add a ‘Loose Parts’ area to our playground. What are loose parts you ask? Loose parts are objects or materials, which provide children with endless opportunities to build on their play. If you have any items that you think would be a good addition for this project, please let me know!

Tomorrow is our first evening stay and play night with the Altona and Area Resource Centre. The children will have time to explore the Centre, participate in a craft if they’d like to and have a snack before heading home to bed. Hope to see you there!
