A strong healthy body helps you fight against, and prevent, the onset of physical ailments. It will not protect you 100%. But a stronger, healthier body will help you recover more quickly, and more completely, in the long run. So why do we not attribute the same importance to our mental health? Most mental health treatments are only administered once the mind is so broken that only sticking plaster solutions are offered, while waiting for the availability of slow laborious..., and often emotionally painful, remedies. For someone slipping into depression, it’s a bit like walking on a broken foot for six months, before finally admitting that it does actually hurt a little bit. Unfortunately, the damage is often done. The Thrive Programme is the ONLY programme around that actually addresses the fundamental needs of each and everyone’s mental health, helping to build and strengthen psychological foundations to ensure they remain fully entrenched, no matter what storms they have to endure. We are here to help and here to inspire real change in mental health. DM us for more info, we'll be happy to answer your questions. See more

What are you thinking today? If you feel happy, you are likely having a lot of happy and helpful thoughts. If you feel anxious, sad or depressed, your thoughts are probably negative, catastrophic, black and white, obsessive or self criticizing. I want you to know that YOU have control over this. You can choose what you want to hold on to or what you want to let go. Hold on to those powerful and motivating thoughts. When an unhelpful thought chooses to make an appearance, like they always do, acknowledge it and make the choice to let it go. Take control of your thoughts today and enjoy the rest of your day. Be grateful and focus on your successes. We all know that you have many of those!!

We’re setting you a bit of a challenge today A great way to start the week off feeling powerful Choose one thing you would normally avoid and challenge yourself to do it. It might be eating something different, going out for a walk, going to the shops or talking to a friend. If you have something in mind right now that's great, or wait and see what crops up that you would normally react with a 'No' to. This time, say 'Yes!' ... Why? Exposing ourselves to what we perceive to be difficult and then processing it well builds our coping skills, which directly creates stronger mental health. However big or small it may seem, by challenging yourself, tolerating any feelings of anxiety or discomfort, and then really congratulating yourself for the rest of the day (and week) you will feel better and more powerful So go ahead and say ‘yes’ to something today, and then give yourself a massive pat on the back for achieving it. Comment below what you get up to, we'd be interested in hearing! See more

Is the Stockdale Paradox really a paradox? I was thinking today about 'lockdown' and the parallels between it and Jim Stockdale's experiences in the 'Hanoi Hilt...on'. It's obvious but when you think about it, but the people who are coping best with lockdown are the ones who have 'Stockdale Thinking': the ability to have a realistic appraisal of the stressors and pressures of the road ahead, and yet simultaneously the utter belief that they will cope with it and even come out the other side stronger and better than when they went in. Watch the video, do you still think its a paradox?.

What is your 'Default Mode'? Think back to a time time you read a self-help book or attended a motivational seminar of some sort. You probably felt better, more inspired and maybe your symptoms were reduced or completely resolved. For a time... A couple weeks later, the business of living carries on and you find yourself right back to where you were before. What happened?... Well for that short time your thinking changed. You were focused on what you heard or read and perhaps some routines were changed, some beliefs you previously held were challenged and things changed. For a time... These little tidbits of information helped but the fundamental underlying structure of your thinking and beliefs weren't changed and so after a time you just went back to your default mode. The Thrive Programme is different in that it gives you to the power to change that underlying structure, creating a new default mode. Enabling you to be more resilient and build a more robust mental health. If you are interested in learning more about your own 'Default Mode I am offering a FREE assessment that you can take right now. I will also include a PDF of our recent Thriving at Home Series. Just comment below with a 'yes please' or send me a message.
