Here’s hoping for a few more hot days before fall kicks in! How do you cool down your pups on those scorcher days? I love making pupsicles for my client pooches. They are an especially great treat for after a hot walk or dog park excursion! Looks like Rosie agrees! Pupsicles 101: Choose your base - I make my own chicken stock with zero salt. I do half this and half water. You know those red solo cups? That’s my pupsicles cup. Fill 3/4 with equal parts of your liquids. ... Choose your treats - Most pups love bananas, apples, blueberries, or carrots, chop your choice up and throw it in there! Choose your tongue licking teaser - I always go for a tablespoon of peanut butter, plop it right on top! Put a stick in it - if you want to add an extra element, put a carrot stick or oven baked yam stick in to act as the pupsicle stick.
