Inlay fetish I almost can’t design without it anymore, and now that I’m learning to do most of my own inlay work, I am falling even deeper in love with the technique and outcome. It’s interesting being a goldsmith, those who are not in the industry assume that we do everything ourselves from designing, fabrication, casting, finishing, setting, stone cutting, gemmology, inlay work. A lot of these are separate professions! Stone setting is a profession all on its own, as well... as gemmology, stone cutting and inlay work, designing, and casting! I do my own designing, fabrication, finishing, setting, and some inlay work Which piece speaks to you the most!?
