I've had a lot of opportunities to join book launch teams since connecting with so many emerging authors. Why do I enjoy it so much? - I love helping out a friend - There's an art and skill to a book launch, and I learn a lot from each one - After pouring hundreds of hours into research, writing, each author has a wealth of experience and insight into their topic and craft. I love learning from them and being part of the action.... This is a book launch team for a book I think you’ll like -- it goes alongside by book, Dare to Decide so well! Join me? Acuff.me/launch

If you were at my book launch, you met Hope Flansburg, my EmCee, friend and author bestie. Now we're celebrating the launch of her second novel, Angel Kisses. Life is messy. This story walks through the emotional darkness of loss after love, and the road back to hope and unconditional love. The guest speakers have all experienced loss and had to find their way through the hard road of grief. Come hang out with us to hear their stories and encouragment.

When I said YES to my God-dream and started on my DARE TO DECIDE Journey, I had no idea of the emotional ride it would take me on. It make sense to me now that I look back at, and have met many other who made big investments and commitments to their own dreams and calling. You're saying YES to being stretched and getting uncomfortable.... You're saying YES to faith and action, even though at times you only know the next step. You're saying YES to learning curves and risking rejection. And with that YES comes peaks and valleys of emotion. For the longest time, I wasn't comfortable with emotion. I needed to feel steady, goodness and peace. If I felt too much emotion, I felt like I didn't have a stable perspective on life, and feeling grounded was important to me. When negative emotions surfaced, I equated it with badness, and as an Enneagram 1x9, being good felt like everything to me. So I squashed and avoided these negative emotions or unknowingly let them sweep me away into melancholy. It also meant I avoided situations that made me feel uncomfortable. Through a few defining moments in the past 12 years, I slowly discovered how emotions could be signals and tools for growing into the quality of person I wanted to become. (You can read more about this in my book, Dare to Decide.) In the Dare Club Experience group and over on IG, we've been talking through some of the emotional peaks and valleys that surface in our Dare to Decide crossroads and journey. It's SO worth uncovering a creative perspective in how to interact with each emotion -- without guilt, shame or judgement. How do you tend to interact with emotions? A - avoid them, stuff them, mute them B - get swept along with them and anyone else's emotions C - let them out, deal with the issue and move on D - use them as signals to address a deeper need or desire and move on Btw -- for a deeper dive into this convo, come join me in The Dare Club Experience! https://www.facebook.com/groups/purposefullymadeformore/

Deep emotions make memories. Thankfully we can shift the meaning of the memory. The weeks after my first marriage ended felt entrenched with betrayal, shock, rejection.... I felt a deep loss of love. "If only you could make him love me!" I cried. Instead I sensed God say, "Love is a choice. That's what makes My love for you and your love for me so powerful and sacred." Everything shifted in that moment. I wept in aew and gratitude. I wouldn't take love for granted again. And I treasured the TRUE LOVE I could count on more than ever before. As much as rejection and a failed marriage sucked, I wouldn't trade that precious moment for anything. PS: You can read more about how you can make the most of unfortunate experiences in my book Dare to Decide. Nab the first chapter for free -- look for DARE CLUB tab in my bio. #noexperienceiswasted #daretodecide #unconditionallove #madeformore #gracenotperfection #gritngrace

"I WANT TO CREATE IN THE TRIBE WHAT I WANT TO EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD" Kary Oberbrunner, Chief Igniter of the Igniting Souls Publishing House said this to an author whose book on racial unity won its category in the 2020 Author Elite Awards. Writing, publishing and marketing a quality book so that it gets noticed IS NOT something for the faint of heart.... Just check out what these authors interviewed have done since winning their 2020 Author Elite Award! It's not something you want to do alone. This tribe is the very reason I chose this publishing path. Community encouragement along the way. 18 months of coaching and guidance each step. A quality cover design. A passionate, integral, visionary leader who champions challenging the industry norm. Ownership of my book rights. Not having to give 80% royalties away while doing 100% of the marketing. More ideas than I know what to do with. If you have a book in you, be ready to invest your time, tears and treasure. Kary says "A book/story isn't given TO you, it's given THROUGH you." There are plenty of writing and publishing paths. Ask questions. Do your research. Be open. Invest wisely. Find the best path for you and your book. Just don't do it alone!
