A cabinet install in 6 easy steps! All lacquer finished that’s color matched to Pratt and Lambert 27-17 Blue lake deep. Just waiting on handles to finish this one off!
On site today instead of the shop. This suspended ceiling is ready for the electrician to come in and run all the new lights. Once the rest of the tile go on it will really begin to look like a finished project.
Ohhhh color! I needed some edges and pieces to be blue for a project. So I clamped them all up and spray them at once! The clamps might change color as well but they still function just fine.
What it waswhat it is now. What a huge difference refinishing a kitchen can make. These were resprayed with a lacquer color matched to Benjamin Moore’s Super White (OC-152)
Laying down some white lacquer finish on these refinished fronts and they are looking
I call this little dance the shelf cutting shuffle.
Luckily it’s Friday afternoon. Have a Great weekend!
When you’re stopping by a friends place that’s out of town and he asks if you can bring a few tools with you... Now where to put the kids stuff?!?!
I’m not usually in the shop on Saturdays but when I’m working on a small project for our house I’m willing to make an exception. Plus I get to bring my helper in! We managed to get a lot accomplished today and putting a white edging on these pieces was an important part in the process of getting the drawers done.
I didn’t realize how many flavors of pink there was until I let our twin girls pick out the paint color for their room. They decided on crushed berries. NOW LETS PAINT SOME WALLS!
Shipping out a Father’s Day gift today and decided I to make my own packing peanuts from some scraps. These cedar shavings smell amazing! If you’re local would like a cedar bbq scraper for yourself or a last minute Father’s Day gift let me know. They’re a great safe way to keep your grill clean.
A quick sanding and fresh coat of oil brings the life back to this cutting board. Regular maintenance really helps extend the life of these boards and keeps them looking great. @ Swift Current, Saskatchewan
Grouted! And it looks pretty sharp. Large hexagons tiles and grout (#flexcolorcq Timberwolf by Mapei) from Nu West Interiors. Next, the tub surround.
Sometimes it’s easier to layout sections and precut everything when there’s nothing to give you a straight edge to start off of. And hopefully everything goes back into its same spot when I pull them all up and start setting them tomorrow!
A simple white subway tile with @mapeicanada #flexcolorcq warm grey grout was a great way to finish off this kitchen. It’s a simple finish that doesn’t take away from the beauty of these beech cabinets. Are you tired with your kitchen? A new backsplash can be a simple way to begin to like the space again. Or if a backsplash isn’t enough, call me for a quote on an entire custom kitchen rebuild! @ Swift Current, Saskatchewan
I think that’s just about a wrap on this one! A lot of pieces to finish and constantly thinking 2 steps ahead but it really came together. It sits waiting and ready for their phase 2 reopening on Tuesday! The pictures don’t nearly do the coloring and the texture of the walnut justice because when you see it you just want to touch it. It’s a great upgrade from the golden oak one that was previously in this space. @ Swift Current, Saskatchewan
Finishing all the tops for this reception desk on site has had its fair share of challenges but seeing how it’s coming together is totally worth it. Tomorrow will bring installing the fillers, fronts, finished gables, and a matching upper cabinet. @ Swift Current, Saskatchewan
A fresh coat of @osmocanada polyx oil hugging that walnut grain nice and tight. Protecting the wood without loosing that wonderful natural feel of wood.
Cut to size, sanded and edges eased. For these tops, a majority of the finishing will be done on site since there’s 3 pieces that have to get joined together and walls to be fit around. I’ll be finishing the bottom sides in the shop and the topside once installed to make sure it’s a seamless fit.
Clamping some solid wood edging on these walnut panels. @besseytools_na and @irwintoolsca clamps helping hold it all together until the glues sets.
